When I worked at DaVita Kidney Care, the dietitian group selected the pineapple as their team’s symbol. A sign of hospitality, friendship and welcome, the pineapple is the perfect symbol for this caring, knowledgeable and supportive group. I never noticed pineapples before then but now I notice them everywhere: clothes, dishtowels, dinnerware, pottery, keychains, door knockers, finials and, of course, at the grocery store. Now pineapples are a sign reminding me of the friends I made and learned so much from at DaVita—sweet!
