During World War II, Winston Churchill put his first two fingers in the shape of a “V” with his palm facing away from him and referred to it in a speech as a “V for Victory” salute. It was a symbol that had come to mean hope for the Allied nations to defeat the Nazis. Twenty years later during the Vietnam War, the symbol of victory became an anti-war message that we still know as a “peace sign.” With current events feeling anything but peaceful, maybe it’s time to start greeting each other with a peace sign to put some peaceful energy out into the world. As Sir Ringo Starr likes to say, “Peace and love, everybody, peace and love.”
Peace sign✌️
