A friend recently recommended a 2011 Jason Segel movie called Jeff, Who Lives at Home by the Duplass brothers. In the movie, Segel’s character Jeff is looking for as well as seeing signs that he believes will lead him to his fate or destiny. It’s fitting that Jeff has watched the M. Night Shyamalan movie Signs multiple times. After a few viewings of that movie, Jeff realizes in Signs that “all this randomness is leading to a perfect moment” and he hopes that will happen for him. I appreciate the forthright use of seeing signs in the plot of Jeff, Who Lives at Home, which I’m sure is why my friend suggested I watch the movie.
