The first time my grandfather took me to see horseracing I asked him how he knew which horse to bet on. “Look for the one with the skinny legs,” he said. Wouldn’t you know, they all have skinny legs. Good one, grandpa! While looking for the horse with the skinny legs wasn’t the best sign to determine which horse to bet on, a friend shared a clear sign that she got for betting on a horse at the racetrack. She read the racing form and couldn’t decide between three horses, so she headed to the paddock to get a closer look at them. She caught the eye of one of the horses. He checked her out while he was in his stall. The horse glanced her way as he was being paraded around the paddock. And, as his jockey was mounting him, just to be clear he was giving her a sign, the horse met her eye again. The third time was the charm. My friend ran to the window to place her bet, found a spot on the rails and watched her horse come in first place. If only all signs were that easy!
The eyes have it

The skinny legs suggestion made me LOL. When a horse looks you in the eyes, they’re talking to you, which is a sure sign of goodness in the eyes of the beholder. That horse picked you with his powerful gaze, in this case, at a horse track. . . Lucky you for seeing the sign! 🐎🏆
is your friend a horse whisperer?
what a great sign and outcome!!
Love it ❤️
Loved the story! Her sign was profitable for her. Should we all be so lucky! Need to pay attention to our signs!
It was really remarkable how that horse went out of his way to look at me several times. Could be that I reminded him of some other human he knew. But I took it as a sign from the racing gods to bet on this horse!
