While in Las Vegas visiting a friend, I saw a hummingbird ornament that was a perfect gift for someone back home. That’s when my Vegas friend shared that hummingbirds are a special sign for him. After his partner passed away, he would visit the gravesite to talk and each time a hummingbird would appear. He believed the hummingbird was a sign sent by his partner to check on him. Like many birds, hummingbirds are said to bring a message from loved ones who have passed on. Many indigenous cultures have tales featuring hummingbirds as symbols of joy, good luck, health and healing. And hummingbirds don’t need to be your special sign to enjoy them. It’s always a treat to see one flapping its little wings and zipping around the garden.
