Tall, bright and reaching to the sun, sunflowers simply look like they symbolize happiness. (Sunflower seeds are pretty tasty too.) The sunflower is a sign of adoration and loyalty, due to the Greek myth that sunflowers originated when Apollo, God of the Sun, turned a jealous nymph, Clytie, into a sunflower. More recently, sunflowers have become a symbol of solidarity and unity with Ukraine, as the sunflower is their national flower. Wherever you encounter a sunflower and in whatever form, sunflowers bring joy and are quick mood boosters.
Uplifting sunflowers

I’ve ate sunflower seeds since I was a kid, a favorite snack of mine. My friend and neighbor grows a spring garden every year, and she always has sunflowers. I watch them grow every spring, and they brighten up my morning walk with their blooms. I love that it’s the national flower for Ukraine. It’s just perfect for them. ❤
How nice that you have sunflowers every spring to greet you!
