My friend saw a monarch butterfly on the ground and when she put her hand down to see if it was okay, the butterfly climbed onto her hand, hugged her finger and hung out for a while. I asked her if she saw the butterfly as a sign for anything. She responded that the first thing that came to her mind was “hope.” She was thinking about a family member going through a difficult time and the butterfly hugging her finger was giving her a feeling of hope. For many people, monarch butterflies are a symbol of hope, strength, endurance and transformation. My friend had no clue that a butterfly could be a sign — but she sure got the message.
Butterfly hug and hope

This post reminds me of my 6 yr old goddaughter. We were at the park and a butterfly flew by and she told me she doesn’t like butterflies. I asked her why and she said because they never let her catch them. Next time I’ll tell her to hope more.
I relate to your goddaughter. I love butterflies and see them as signs but they never land on my finger or let me take their pictures. 🦋
What a beautiful story!
