People usually ask for a sign when going through tough times. This is true of the singing satirist and author, Randy Rainbow. In his book “Playing With Myself,” he wrote about how his rise to fame led to old social media posts resurfacing that brought negative backlash. During a low point, he asked his dearly departed grandmother for a sign that things would be okay. One of his friends called to lend support and said, “This too shall pass.” That was the sign Randy Rainbow was looking for. To help him through painful events, his beloved Nanny often told him, “This too shall pass.” Nanny and his friend were correct, today Randy Rainbow — his real name — is lighting up the sky.

Randy Rainbow looks for a sign

It does seem as one rises in popularity, there are those digging around history to hurt them. In this case, history brought back up Randy Rainbow with love in the present and the love from the past words of his nanny, signs he saw, heard, and felt; the triple signs threat. I’m a big fan of his. This is a beautiful post, and I must add “Randy Rainbow for President”! 😀
I’m happy to share that story from Ranydy Rainbow’s book (around page 197 if you have the hard copy) and glad you enjoyed it. “Playing With Myself” was a great read about someone persisting and his humor and honesty made me cheer him on.
Randy Rainbow is so funny!
