The last time I saw a ladybug was April 14, 2014. I know the date because I decided to take a picture after it invited itself into my home and landed on me. If I knew then how rare it would become to see a ladybug, I would have made sure the photo wasn’t blurry. Ironically, ladybugs are considered lucky; however, their population is sadly diminishing. Farmers consider ladybugs a sign of good fortune because they eat bad bugs that damage crops. More common signs attributed to ladybugs include love, fertility, protection and rebirth. The redder the ladybug, the more potent the good luck. Also, if you count the spots on the ladybug that will indicate how many years of good luck you can look forward to after one lands on you. Let’s hope some ladybug luck will help bring them back.
Lucky Ladybugs

What a beautiful thing to happen, a ladybug fly in your home and land on your shoulder. It’s as if it was seeking you out. I don’t remember the last time I saw a ladybug, but I sure hope one finds me soon! 😀
It seems that where you live may have something to do with spotting ladybugs. A few Florida friends have told me they still see them often.
