After her divorce, my friend had to reenter the job market after 10 years of being a stay-at-home mom. During her job search, my friend was excited about an editor position at the Vegetarian Times Magazine. Not only was she qualified for the position, but she was also a subscriber and practicing vegetarian. During this time, she needed a new blender and decided to get a used one from Craig’s List. There were several blenders listed, so she selected one and went to pick it up. The woman selling the blender told my friend that she was moving in with her boyfriend and they didn’t need two blenders. My friend relayed that she just broke up with her husband, which is why she now needed one. While they were chatting, the woman selling the blender told my friend that she worked for Vegetarian Times and my friend mentioned that she had just applied for a job there. While walking away from the transaction, my friend had a hopeful feeling that everything was going to be okay for her. She took all those coincidences as a sign. What were the odds that in a huge city like Los Angeles, with all of those blenders on Craig’s List to choose from that she would buy one from a woman who worked at Vegetarian Times and was taking the leap of faith with her boyfriend. My friend felt that the two of them finding each other was more than coincidence and instead a sign of hope.
When coincidences are signs

I also believe that coincidences are signs for us. So did she get the job?
She didn’t get that job but she got another one soon after. She said the coincidence gave her hope and confidence to move on.
I hope she got the job!
She got a better one!
Experiencing a series of coincidences and interpreting them as “Seeing Signs” of hope is a beautiful way to embrace our life happenings. We all could use a little hope . . . Especially this time of year.😀
Wow and wow!! What a great coincidence!! It was meant to be!!
I was shocked when this happened to me. It’s hard to chalk this up to “just a coincidence.” There were at least 100 blenders listed on Craigslist and the Vegetarian Times had a small staff (less than a dozen people). Even though I didn’t even get an interview, it felt like a sign from the Universe to keep doing the hard (and often discouraging) work of looking for a job.
Congratulations on using the sign to keep you going. Even when things were discouraging, you persisted and succeeded!
