Before the Barbie movie was released, publicity photos of Ryan Gosling posing as Ken were deemed as “giving major cringe.” But Barbie director Greta Gerwig so strongly believed that Ryan Gosling was “Kenough,” she had his name in the script from the beginning. When given the offer, Ryan Gosling didn’t jump at the chance to play his Oscar-nominated role, he had to check his busy schedule and decide if he had “Ken-ergy.” While debating whether to take the part, the father of two girls walked into his backyard and found a Ken doll face down in the mud beside a squashed lemon. It was a sign! He snapped a photo and texted Greta Gerwig, “I shall be your Ken, for his story must be told.” Thank goodness Ryan Gosling followed the sign. There was nothing cringey about his performance as Ken, and his singing I’m Just Ken at the Oscars was the best part of the night. The universe is good to Ryan Gosling and that’s good for his fans.
Ryan Gosling follows signs

What a great sign. Thanks for posting and I agree he was the perfect Ken.
I’m glad the universe pointed Ryan Gosling in the right direction. I can’t imagine anyone else being Ken.
I love this story!
