My friend had to say goodbye to her sweet fur baby a month ago and has understandably been incredibly sad. I offered to do whatever I could, as I wanted to help alleviate my friend’s sorrow, but there’s really nothing anyone could do to help with grief. It seems that time is the only thing that makes grief bearable. We talked about how some people fill the void of losing a beloved pet by quickly getting another one; however, it’s hard be joyful about replacing your furry baby. I wished that her beloved pet could send her a sign to help her heal. Today, I learned that a young, terrified, 80-pound stray dog was found on the mean streets of Los Angeles and desperately needed a good home. Since he had nowhere to go, my friend agreed to foster him. Before he can be adopted, he’ll need to be trained to follow basic commands, learn to trust people and feel safe and loved. He found the perfect place to heal his heart along with his foster mom’s. I told my friend that I thought her little pup sent this dog her way and my friend responded, “She could have sent someone smaller, he’s a baby horse.” That’s a pretty big sign in my book.
